gotta love hashtags:: what's in my bag //summer adventure edn.//

I absolutely adore summer and love all the things that it comes with.  The sense of adventure and endless days that can be filled with anything that I want it to be.  Generally, I like/need to be prepared for anything that comes at me (must be the Girl Guide-er in me!).  So of course, I pretty much like to carry whatever I can in this darling leather backpack that I simply adore for all eternity.

The cream stitching with the dark brown leather is such a beautiful combination that I think is absolutely timeless!  It grabbed me so quickly and I knew I had to have it.

This little knapsack carries everything that I may need.  And I mean it when I say everything! As you can see here, she is already packed pretty full!

My bag contains...

//1// A water bottle
//2// A clipboard, a letter from a dear penpal & some stationery
//3// My iPad (2nd gen, I think - she is an oldie but a goodie!)
//4// My journal - I am loving this pink leather notebook cover
//5// Wallet containing keys, cash, coins and various receipts!
//6// The planner I am using at the moment
//7// My iPhone 5!
//8// Stationery pouch that contains everything for planning, writing letters and journaling on the go

I told you that stationery pouch contains everything I may need for a little dose of creativity!
I know, I carry a ridiculous amount but I so love the idea of wandering into a nice little cafe (there are lots in Melbourne) and do some journalling or letter writing.

What do you like to carry around with you?

recording life:: feb 17 - feb 23 2014

This week is the last week before O-Week, and finally the beginning of my final year of my undergraduate.  I have a mixture of emotions in regards to this.  I'm kinda sad that my holidays are over, and all I can see ahead are weeks of endless hard work.  Blog posts will be fewer, but not far in between, I hope! But it is my final year and I am quite excited about my last two semesters.  I can't wait to see where life takes me!

Melbourne's White Night was on the Saturday night and it was pretty fabulous.  My sister and I had a lot of fun walking through the crowded streets and looking at the exhibitions.  There was so much energy in the crowd, it was pretty amazing!

I hope you had a good week.

Thank you so much, Michelle, for the opportunity of what I hope to be many more!

love letters:: penpal booklets

One night, soon after the arrival of April's gorgeous letter, I was inspired to create some penpal notebooks from various 6x6 scrapbook paper pads, kikki. K notepad papers and a whole bunch of various embellishments such as stamps from Freckled Fawn and Oh Hello Friend, washi tape and those jelly dots!

I absolutely adore the way they turned out, and I hope they inspire you too!

in love:: Studio L2E "List It" stamp set

When I love something, I have to share it.
Why? Because YOU could love it too.  And it just makes me oh so happy to share something that I adore!

I want to introduce you to the beautiful "List it" stamp set by Studio L2E!

Aint she a beauty?

The "List It" stamp set by Studio L2E is a photopolymer stamp set that provides users with a variety of keywords that can be useful for and planner users.  I adore making lists in my planning - there is such a nice feeling of satisfaction when you have completed a task and are able to cross it off your list.  It motivates you and keeps you in check that you are going to do what you have to do!

The "List It" stamp set was produced to compliment the "Plan It" stamp set.  However, I chose the "List It" stamp because I thought it was most relatable to me with my Home life, as well as my Blogging & Instagramming life. I love the different type of list points that they offer (stars, circles, hearts and banners) as well as the lines, banners and the boxed outline.  I purchased only the one as I was a bit tentative about how often I would use a stamp set in my planning.

Not gonna lie - using this was A LOT of fun and was quite a distraction.
It's new - I'm allowed to play with new things, right?

I found that using the stamp set has made me a lot neater.  However, it's much bigger than my own natural handwriting.  I tend to write quite small with a lot of details, but I love how the stamped words call for my attention.

To avoid bleed through on Filofax pages, I recommend the use of chalk inks - they do not cause bleed through as they sit on the paper and are not absorbed.  They come in a variety of different colours, as well as the traditional black so you always have choice!

VersaMagic Dew Drop chalk inkpads

More VersaMagic!

Due to the fact that the galaxy gold pigment ink pad is not a chalk ink, there is bleed through when this ink is used to stamp on Filofax paper.  The Pink Petunia and Midnight Black work as well as the previous chalk inks I mentioned!

This page shows the other side of the page that has been stamped - as you can see, there is minimal bleed through but it always depends on how heavily you have stamped! The harder/wetter you stamp, the more bleed through will be visible.

Not going to lie - I am not that great a stamper, but I hope my skills in it will improve.  For now, I can see myself using the "List It" stamp set quite regularly and I look forward to it when I plan in my diary.

I have also purchased the "Plan It" stamp set, just because I needed a complete set! I hope Studio L2E brings out more stamp sets in these series - I will definitely be adding to my cart when they do.  To complete the set, of course!

recording life:: feb 10 - feb 16 2014

I was so totally in love with this week.  Firstly, it was Valentine's Day, then a full day of adventuring in Warrnambool with a good friend of ours.  The 16th also marked the 5.5 year anniversary of my boyfriend and I.

I love love.  And I so love Valentine's Day.  My boyfriend spoiled me the whole day with brunch and macaron desserts.  He also suggested watching Frozen at the theaters, a movie that I really enjoy! He said that I couldn't sing, though - totally killed my buzz!

Warrnambool was also lots of fun.  With milkshakes and ice cream and good time with good friends.

I am loving my squishy mint kikki. K as well.  As I wanted to remember some more details of my day, I used a journal card in between my weekly pages.

This past week was also the first week that I used the Studio L2E's "List It" stamp set - I absolutely adore it! It certainly distracts me a bit, but you can't deny that it isn't a very good and fun distraction!

I hope you enjoyed your Valentine's Day and your week!
